Changing A Generation Full Gospel Baptist Church (FGBC) in Atlanta, Georgia celebrated their 10 year Church Anniversary. This commemorative service honored the illustrious Pastor Bishop Paul Morton for his faithfulness, tireless commitment and service to God. Many gave words to honor the impact Bishop Morton made in their lives since coming to the city of Atlanta after the devastation of Katrina. It was a celebration to uplift the name of Jesus Christ and to promote the works of Bishop Morton and the congregation. This event took place on January 17th. The church’s choir sang “The Blood Still Works” and many people within the congregation began to sing out in praise. There was excitement all throughout the church and people had their hands raised and their hearts lifted to God’s word and music.
The special musical guests for that evening were Pastors Myles and Delana Rutherord from Worship with Wonders Church in Kennesaw, GA. They ministered to the congregation and released an anointing throughout the sanctuary. Their music permeated the atmosphere and prepared everyone for the newly appointed Presiding Bishop Joseph Walker III from Nashville, Tennessee to step in and preach a sermon titled “I’m Going After the Good Life”. It was indeed a timely word that left all of us wanting more…what can I say, he preached us into a frenzy.
The 10 year church anniversary service at Changing A Generation FGBC was truly inspiring. Pastors came from all over the Atlanta area to participate in this affair. People from different denominations attended as well. The festivities were going to continue throughout the month of January. Changing A Generation FGBC family and friends salute Bishop Paul Morton with these words after 10 years “I’m Still Standing”.
