Atlanta, GA (Christian Reporters) – In the bible Proverbs 18:21 reminds us that there is great power in our words. With them, we can speak life or death to situations and also to the spirit of those around us. Your testimony, no matter who you are or what you have done or have not done, is powerful to those around you – but it must be shared.
When we testify of God’s goodness in our lives, our words can bring life to everyone who hears them. Revelation 12:11 says, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony.” We must use our words to help others overcome doubt, fear or confusion and by showing them how far you’ve already come.
There are benefits in sharing your testimony, it’s not just for others, but for yourself as well. Each time we recount what God has done for us, how He’s been there for us, helped us and provided for us it;
#1. Builds our faith.
#2. We grow stronger in Him.
#3. It is a reminder of all that God has done for us already.
#4. It brings confidence in His word.
#5 It could save someone’s life.
God does not change and if He helped us before, He will do it again.
Don’t underestimate the power of sharing what God has done for you through your testimony. You are speaking hope to souls in desperate times and your words may very well save a life, spiritually or physically. If you’re still alive, you still have a story to tell. Speak up, declare His Word and see the power that comes when you testify!
Share with us what God has done for you and give Him glory through your story!
